Ⅰ. Optimize the Pretreatment Process
Cleaning and Screening: Ensure that the mustard seeds contain low impurities and minimize interference with the pressing process.
Freezing: Storing the mustard seeds in a cold storage facility at -25°C to -20°C for 16-18 hours helps break down the cell walls and increase oil yield.
Microwave Heating: Microwave pretreatment can raise the temperature of the mustard seeds to 6-7 degrees of maturity, which helps release the oil.
Ⅱ. Use Advanced Pressing Equipment
Twin-Screw Oil Press: Utilizes a combined pressing principle of intermeshing twin screws and a pressing ring, achieving multi-stage compression and thin-layer pressing, significantly improving oil yield.
Low-Temperature Press: Use a low-temperature press to ensure that the pressing process is performed at 60-70°C to prevent high temperatures from damaging the oil components.
Ⅲ. Adjust Pressing Parameters
Pressing Temperature: Keeping the pressing temperature below 60°C can significantly increase oil yield.
Pressing Pressure: Increase the pressing pressure appropriately, but avoid excessive pressure that may cause oil degradation.

Ⅳ. Multiple Pressing Technology
Multiple pressing technology can further improve oil yield. The oil yields for the first, second, and third presses are 8%-9%, 16%-17%, and 6%-9%, respectively, for a total oil yield of approximately 32%.
