Working principle

 

  • Product Feeding: The liquid product enters the machine via a pumping system.

  • High-Temperature Heating: Inside a network of tubes, the product is rapidly heated to ultra-high temperatures (typically 135-150°C). This heat transfer usually occurs through steam or hot water circulating around the tubes.

  • Precise Temperature Control: Integrated sensors and control systems continuously monitor and maintain the exact required temperature throughout the heating zone. This ensures consistent, effective sterilization.

  • Hold Time: The product flows at high speed through a specifically designed holding tube. This guarantees it remains at the target UHT temperature for the precise time needed (typically 2-5 seconds) to destroy pathogens and spoilage organisms.

  • Rapid Cooling: Immediately after the hold time, the product enters a cooling section. Here, cold water or chilled fluid quickly lowers its temperature, halting the thermal process and preserving taste, texture, and nutritional value.

  • Aseptic Transfer: The sterilized, cooled product is then conveyed under sterile conditions for aseptic packaging or storage.
