Extraction Process

Water extraction

Place the herbs and water in the extraction tank. Start supplying heat to the inner heat exchanger. Once the tank starts boiling, reduce the heat supply and maintain the boiling state within the tank. The duration of this process depends on the specific extraction process. For example, in a sealed extraction, cooling water needs to be supplied to cool the steam vapor and return it to the extraction tank, maintaining circulation and temperature.

Alcohol extraction

Firstly, you can mix the medicine and alcohol into a container and must keep it sealed. Supply steam to the inner chamber of the container, and open the cooling water to make the container reach the required temperature. Then reduce the supply of heat source to allow the rising gaseous alcohol to pass through the condenser and become liquid alcohol, which then flows back into the container. To improve efficiency, a pump can be used for forced circulation.

The medicine liquid can be sucked out from the lower part of the container through the pump and then returned to the container through the upper inlet of the container.

Ultrasonic extraction

Add the extraction ethanol to the container. Crush or cut the Chinese medicinal materials into granules as needed and place them in the extraction solvent. Turn on the ultrasonic generator to enable the extraction solvent and the active components in the medicinal materials to come into rapid contact, dissolve and mix with each other, thereby improving the Ethanol extraction process for oil efficiency.
