Pre-Freezing Phase
The material is rapidly cooled to subzero temperatures, converting moisture into uniform ice crystals. This ensures structural integrity before sublimation.
Primary Drying (Sublimation)
Under high vacuum (≤5 Pa), the shelves apply controlled conductive heat. Ice bypasses the liquid phase, vaporizing directly into gas.
The condenser (≤ -56°C) traps vapor as ice, maintaining deep vacuum for uninterrupted sublimation.
Secondary Drying (Desorption)
Residual bound moisture is removed via gentle heating, further reducing water content without thermal degradation.
