Scraped surface evaporator is a kind of high efficient evaporation and distillation equipment, which distributes the liquid on the heating surface through the high-speed rotating scraper to form a uniform film for evaporation or distillation. This equipment is especially suitable for heat-sensitive, high viscosity, easy to crystallize or particle-containing materials.
Working principle
The working principle of the Scraped surface evaporator is to use a rotating scraper to distribute the liquid on the heating surface to form a thin film which is heated and evaporated in the process of descending, and the finished liquid is discharged from the bottom, and the secondary vapor escapes from the top. This kind of evaporator can be operated under vacuum condition, so it is especially suitable for low temperature evaporation of heat-sensitive materials.

- **Centrifugal scraper**: Depends on the rotor to exert a centrifugal force on the material, so that the material forms a thin film on the evaporating surface.
- **Hinged scraper**: suitable for the material which is easy to be scaled on the heating surface, the scraper is usually made of metal and installed by movable hinge.
- **Fixed scraper**: the gap between scraper and inner wall of evaporation cylinder is only 1-2mm, suitable for the evaporation and concentration of extra-high viscosity and foam-prone materials.

Design features

The inner wall of the evaporation cylinder is precisely bored and polished, which is not easy to produce coking and scaling, easy to operate, easy to adjust the product indexes, and can be self-controlled for continuous production under airtight conditions.
