Falling Film Evaporator Description

The liquid material is distributed evenly into each falling film tube by distributors and flows downward along the tube wall in the form of liquid film. The liquid material is evaporated during the process of flowing downward under actions of gravity and secondary steam flow. The liquid material and secondary steam are separated basically after reaching the lower part of falling film tubes and separated completely after reaching the separation chamber.

 

Falling Film Evaporator Application

 

Falling film evaporator is widely used in medicine, food, chemical industry, light industry and other industries of water or organic solvent solution evaporation and concentration, as well as waste liquid treatment.

1. Short residence time: the residence time of the material in the heat exchanger tube is short, which will not affect the chemical properties of the heat-sensitive material, thus avoiding excessive degradation.
2. High heat transfer coefficient: As the material is in the form of film and the flow rate is fast, the evaporation heat transfer coefficient is larger, which makes the heat transfer efficiency higher.
3. Small pressure drop: tube course material is in atmospheric pressure environment, completely rely on their own gravity along the inner wall of the tube downward flow, so the pressure drop is almost 0, can save energy.
4. Suitable for heat-sensitive materials: falling film evaporator is especially suitable for heat-sensitive materials, because it can realize high heat transfer coefficient under low heat transfer temperature difference, thus reducing temperature loss.
