Working principle
The working principle of extraction centrifuge mainly includes two processes of mixing mass transfer and centrifugal separation.
- Mixed mass transfer: the use of motor-driven high-speed rotation of the drum, the density of different and immiscible two liquids in the drum or paddle rotation under the action of the shear force to complete the mixed mass transfer. The aqueous and organic phases enter the centrifugal extractor and are dispersed into tiny droplets by the high-speed rotating drum or paddle, so that the two phases are in full contact, thus achieving the purpose of mass transfer.
- Centrifugal separation: under the action of centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the drum, the mixture is rapidly separated. Density of the liquid in the upward flow process gradually away from the center of the drum and leaning to the drum wall, the density of the liquid gradually away from the drum wall leaning to the center. Eventually, the two phases of liquid are thrown into the collection chamber through their respective channels, and then flow out from their respective collection chambers to complete the two-phase separation process.

operation process

- Pre-treatment stage: preliminary filtration of waste engine oil, heat to a certain temperature after passing into the oil-water separator insulation settlement for a period of time, the use of density differences so that the natural stratification of oil and water.
- Centrifugal extraction stage: when the extraction centrifuge reaches a stable working condition, first slowly inject the heavy-phase liquid (usually water or aqueous solution), to be the heavy-phase outlet of the liquid out of the stable, and then slowly add the light-phase liquid (i.e., after the pretreatment of the used oil or extractant), by adjusting the feed rate, centrifugal rotation speed and other parameters, to ensure that the two-phase liquid in the centrifugal force under the action of the two phases of the liquid to be able to fully contact and effective mass transfer occurs.
- Subsequent processing stage: after centrifugal extraction of the oil phase and aqueous phase products need to be further processed and purified to meet the requirements of subsequent use, but also need to properly dispose of waste to prevent pollution of the environment.
