Pectin production line Raw material pre-treatment: Raw materials (e.g., citrus peels or apple pomace) need to be cleaned, crushed, and sometimes heat-treated to soften tissues and activate enzymes.

Extraction: Pectin is usually extracted using an acid solution (e.g. citric acid) at a certain temperature to hydrolyze the protopectin in the cell wall. Ultrasound-assisted extraction is a commonly used technique to increase extraction efficiency and reduce extraction time in the Pectin production line .
