Product Description
The custom spray drying functions on the principle of utilising an atomiser to disperse liquid material into minute droplets, which are then introduced into a stream of hot air. The hot airflow and the material come into contact with each other in countercurrent, parallel flow or mixed flow configurations. Through rapid heat and mass exchange, the moisture in the wet material is rapidly vaporised, thereby achieving the objective of drying.
The working principle includes the following steps:
Atomisation: The liquid material is atomised into fine droplets through an atomiser (e.g. two-fluid nozzle or centrifugal atomiser).
Drying: The atomised droplets are in contact with hot air in the drying chamber, where the water evaporates rapidly and solid particles are formed.
Collection: The dried solid particles are collected through a cyclone separator or filter.

Main structure
The custom spray drying is composed of the following parts:
1. Sprayer: This component is responsible for evenly dispersing the liquid substance in the drying hot air, typically featuring nozzles and compressed gas. Various spraying methods exist, such as compressed gas atomisation and centrifugal rotating spray, and a range of nozzle calibres are available, allowing customisation according to experimental requirements.
2. Hot air furnace: This provides the hot air flow required for drying, and is usually composed of a burner, furnace, and heat exchanger, among other parts. These can heat the hot medium or steam to a certain temperature and send it into the drier.
3. Collector: This is used to collect granular or powdery material after drying. The collector's design is key to improving the efficiency of material collection.
