Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction equipment steps:
- Raw material preparation: the leaves, flowers, stems and other parts of Artemisia annua were harvested and dried naturally, and crushed into powder.
- Pretreatment: firstly, crush Artemisia annua, then add 13 times (L/㎏) No.6 solvent oil, and extract it by reflux at 56℃ temperature for 6 hours.
- Extraction: Supercritical CO2 extraction technique was used for extraction.

- This technique is used to extract artemisinin from Artemisia annua with high efficiency by controlling the pressure and temperature of CO2 so that the CO2 is in supercritical state.
- Concentration: The extract is concentrated and collected to obtain artemisinin extract.
- Refining: The extract is further refined to improve the purity of artemisinin.
