Oil extraction equipment

Distillation method:
Water distillation: The plant material is heated with water and the essential oil is brought out by water vapor.
Steam distillation method: Heating plant materials directly with steam, so that essential oils are released with steam.

Solvent extraction method:
Use a non-polar solvent (such as hexane or pentane) to soak the plant material, then evaporate the solvent to leave the essential oil.

Ultrasonic assisted Extraction (UAE) :
Mechanical vibrations generated by ultrasound are used to destroy plant cells, thereby releasing essential oils.

Subcritical solvent extraction method:
A non-polar solvent is used to soak the plant material, then the solvent is evaporated to leave the essential oil.

Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) :
Using supercritical carbon dioxide as a solvent, it has gas-like permeability and liquid-like solubility at high pressures and low temperatures.
