Process Flow
Raw material pretreatment
In fish oil manufacturing process,the crude fish oil is subjected to degumming with phosphoric acid (at 85°C, 0.1% phosphoric acid) → alkali refining (NaOH neutralizes free fatty acids) → activated carbon adsorption of pigments, and then filtered to obtain a light yellow oil.
Molecular distillation parameters
Evaporation temperature: 120 - 160℃, adjusted according to the type of glyceride (EPA/DHA esters need to be < 150℃).
Condensation temperature: 40 - 60℃.
Feed rate: 1 - 3 mL/min (lab grade).
Vacuum degree: 0.01 - 0.05 mbar.
Scraping speed: 200 - 400 rpm (scraper type).
Grade-based collection
The light components (main fraction of glycerol esters) are condensed in the main receiving bottle, with a purity of up to 90%-95% (detected by GC); the reconstituted components (pigments, polymers, etc.) remain at the bottom of the evaporator and are periodically discharged.
Application Case
