How to choose the right rotary evaporator model according to different application requirements?

Laboratory small quantity test: For laboratory small quantity test, the volume of rotary evaporator usually used is small, such as 1L, 2L, 3L, 5L and so on. If your demand belongs to this category, then 10 litres of rotary evaporator is obviously too large to be used for such experiments.

Pilot: For pilot stage applications, 5L, 10L, 20L rotary evaporators are more appropriate choices. These volumes of equipment can meet the needs of the pilot scale, while also ensuring a certain degree of efficiency and safety. If you are in the pilot stage, choosing a 10-litre rotary evaporator is a reasonable choice.

Production: For production scale applications, 20L and 50L rotary evaporators are more suitable. These larger units are capable of handling larger sample volumes and are suitable for large-scale production and for extractions where metal ion contaminant materials need to be avoided. If your needs are in the production phase, you may want to consider larger volume equipment.

In addition to the basic needs mentioned above, there are other factors to consider, such as distillation efficiency and safety risks. For example, if a large number of samples need to be processed each day, it is advisable to choose a model with high efficiency; if the solvents used are flammable and explosive, explosion-proof glass components and an automatic venting feature will be key.
