Supercritical Co2 Extraction Plant Description
Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction technology is widely used for the extraction of phytochemicals, such as bioactive compounds, including polyphenols, fatty acids and vitamins, from plant leaves. This technique is particularly suitable for thermosensitive and oxidisable compounds as it can be carried out at lower temperatures, thus reducing the impact on the quality of the extract. In addition, supercritical carbon dioxide extraction does not use organic solvents and is therefore environmentally friendly, and the extraction process is safe, with no solvent residues in the final product
