Glass Distillation Apparatus

The working principle of glass distillation apparatus are based on the difference in boiling points of substances. When a heater heats a distillation flask, the liquid inside the flask is heated and begins to boil, transforming into vapours. This vapour then rises to the condenser tube, where it condenses into a liquid in contact with a cooling medium and finally drips into the receiving flask. By controlling the heating temperature and the condensation effect, the separation and purification of substances with different boiling points can be achieved.

Glass distillation apparatus usually consist of the following main parts:
1. distillation flask: used to contain the liquid samples to be distilled, usually made of high borosilicate glass, with good chemical stability and thermal stability.
2. Heater: to provide heat for the distillation flask, common heating methods including electric heating, water bath heating, etc..

4. Receiving flask: used to collect the condensed liquid.
5. Vacuum system (optional): in some high-precision distillation process, the vacuum system can reduce the distillation temperature and reduce the decomposition of heat-sensitive substances.
